Richard Westoby and his partner, Steven, chose to build their family using surrogacy in the United States. That entire journey forms the basis for his book, "Our Journey: One Couple's Guide to U.S. Surrogacy", which chronicles their quest to parenthood via gestational surrogacy from the recipient parent perspective. They had a twin birth via surrogacy here in the United States. The book focuses on the multiple components of surrogacy, and provides an in-depth look at the behind the scenes aspects such as IVF, escrow accounts, choosing an agency, and how to plan for each stage of the surrogacy. Although written for an international recipeint parent, each chapter ends with a list of appropriate and timely questions a recipient parent should ask during each phase of the surrogacy.
